brit profile about

My name is Brittany, I am nutritionist who is studying to become a registered dietitian. I am completing my masters of science in Nutrition, Healthspan and Longevity from the University of Southern California (USC). I am set to graduate in May 2019.

My passion is in integrative and functional medicine. I am currently in the process of becoming a certified Functional Medicine Dietitian through The Institute for Functional Medicine. I approach patients using these principles and individualize my plan based on each patient’s needs.

My journey to become a licensed registered dietitian has been a long time coming and officially started 5 years ago when I began transitioning from a career in marketing to my true calling of helping others lead a healthier lifestyle through preventative health and nutrition. Like most people in this profession, I have had personal health challenges that ignited my fire to practice nutrition and has given me a lot of intimate experience on the healing process involved in restoring one’s body to health and vitality.

I have a special affinity for working with patients with Chronic Illness, Autoimmune Conditions, Mental Health conditions, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), Fibromyalgia, Migraines, toxin overload, Gastrointestinal issues and disorders such as leaky gut, SIBO, IBS, IBD, C-diff infections etc.

I also have experience working with the Autoimmune Paleo Protocol (AIP).
